My HAPPY PLACE
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
With it like this outside...
a girl can't help but dream of warm weather. We've had countless snowfalls with ice and nasty, slushy roads and SIX snow days since January. This is not normal for Kansas. We are DONE with winter. The hardest part is that spring has been a bit of a tease to us. Like, oh hello 70 degrees one day to 20 degrees the next. We had several of these just last week; some of my students even wore shorts and mini skirts to school.
I miss feeling the sunshine and having a bit of color on my skin. I am sick of pale and scaly skin, ew! I heard Kenny Chesney's "Summertime" on the radio the other day and had to switch stations I was so depressed.
So, spring, you may come at any time. We will gladly welcome you with open arms. I hate to wish for life to rush by (and I don't mean to sound like a complainer), but really March, please hurry along and please be kind.
Until then, I will be dreaming of the spring. And the sunshine - mainly my "happy place" (pictured above). I will leave you with good, warm vibes of our trip last summer to Punta Cana. This is probably the prettiest place I have ever been with gorgeous beaches, waters, sunshine, yummy food, friendly people, and relaxation galore - PARADISE!
